Molded T-40 case - refurbish

Hello, I'm new to all this, so excuse me if I ask obvious or daft questions.
I may be getting a second-hand case for my T-40. The molded plastic kind with the exact shape of the instrument recessed inside. The one I may be getting has none of the plush fabric, just the bare plastic with some scuzzy old glue where it was attatched. What I'd like to know is:
1) Is the fabric just attatched staright onto the plastic, or is there another layer inbetween that's also missing? If so, what is it?
2) Does anyone know, what kind of fabric is used as the lining? Where I could get replacement fabric of that kind in the UK?
Any help at all, would be great!
