They most definitely are. The ease of which I can maneuver the fretboard is so much nicer, and with my back issues the lighter weight is a big bonus. I love the T-40 but damn, can't deal with 11-14 lbs strapped to my back for long.

Next one on my radar was going to be one of Chip's Basslets. But he retired before I was able to get the money together. Dang bills and life always get in the way of getting cool gear.
Although I am interested in a T-20. One of the guys at the T-60 Mafia has a mildly customized Patriot bass for sale that I would like to have too. But since I rarely play the T-40 that I have I can't really justify spending money on another bass.
